Buda Stitch
For all cross-stitch, crocheting and knitting lovers!
We get together every Friday afternoon at various hosts’ homes. Remember all of those projects you brought with you to Budapest, this is the time to finish them with friends. All stitchers welcome!!!
Some of our stitchers are currently making scarves to give as gifts to the seniors and orphans NAWA supports. Help us if you like! All skill levels are welcome to join!

Playgroup
For moms and little ones!
We welcome all English-speaking moms and their young children on Tuesdays from 10:00 – 12:00.
We usually meet at member’s homes, but also have some fun ‘off-site’ activities every few weeks as well.
This summer those activities included a venture to Balatonelle together for two glorious Saturdays in August to enjoy The Hungarian Sea! What is summer in Hungary without the Balaton? We had a wonderful time in the company of wonderful friends. The children all enjoyed the water, the slides and the ice cream treats that topped off their day.

NAWAlkers
On Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:00 AM, a group of friends get together on the Pest side for a little walking and talking. Meeting spot: the top of the exit stairs from the Metro 1 (yellow) line at Hosek ter. The walks last approximately 1 hour (and coffee can be enjoyed after your accomplishment!) On Wednesday mornings, a group of NAWA ladies and friends trek through the Normafa woods for a bit of fresh air, nature and exercise. Please contact a NAWA Board Member if you are interested in leading this group!
Children are welcome to hike with us. Dogs are welcome too!

Movie Group
Grab your popcorn and extra-large soda!! On Wednesday evenings, a group of NAWA ladies and friends meet for a night at the movies. Come see all your Hollywood stars shine in English-language films!
